If you’re looking for a beautiful and romantic place to spend your vacation, I’d suggest heading to beaches near San Francisco. The great thing about San Francisco is that it has some of the most beautiful views of the country, and the coastline is absolutely gorgeous. The fact that San Francisco is the smallest city in California and its proximity to the Pacific Ocean makes it even more amazing and desirable to tourists.
Just remember though that the water in most San Francisco beaches are going to be pretty chilly. If you really want to soak in all the sun without feeling too hot, head to the footbridge located on Market Street between Presidio Park and the Ferry Building downtown. This is a great spot to enjoy a quiet stroll along the Embarcadero with fantastic views of the skyline. Of course, keep in mind that when you’re visiting San Francisco with children, leaving them out of the water can be nearly impossible (especially if you’re going with young children).
Another cool place for tourists visiting San Francisco is the Crissy Field east beach. The name of the beach pretty much says it all – it’s a great place to spend an afternoon. Head to the far western end of the beach, past the tourist attraction known as the Jack London Square, and you’ll come across a little kiosk. Inside this kiosk, you’ll find a variety of San Francisco-style sweets and souvenirs. The best part about visiting the Crissy Field east beach is the restrooms – they’re truly a treat. Just keep heading to Crissy Field east beach until you get to Pacific Beach, which is the closest beach to San Francisco’s downtown.
There are plenty of beaches near San Francisco, it all comes down to how far you are prepared to travel to get to them.
